Day 68 - June 1st… Here is what I discovered…

It’s been a long road up to now but I have reached my first goal. I have only lost 12 lbs but they are pounds OFF!!! My next mini goal will be a milestone!!! Changing digits… being BELOW the 300 mark!!! Wow… I can almost feel it…

 Here is what I have discovered about myself. When I have a good breakfast and at least 2 other meals I lose more. Also, bicycling is much easier than walking with a bad knee. I love bicycling and would like to go further and further but hubby is not too comfortable with that because I have an adult tricycle and if I was stuck somewhere he could not come and pick me up with the car. I am still working on him accompanying me. It rained the whole of last week here so I used my elliptical. I also got a used stationary bike for $50. It is great!!! I managed to find a spot for it in our small house. LOL

Day 37 - May 1st

Hi there… It is encouraging to see that I am not alone battling this monster. I am on Day 37 and a touch disappointed that I have only lost 7 lbs. But then, that is a touch over 1 lb per week… Visually, if we compare that to 7 lbs of butter it’s not that bad.  I have to up my endurance to exercise! Today is a new month. I would love to have lost 2 lbs per week by the end of the month!!! Think we can do it??? Let’s do it together!!!

Day 29 - Apr. 23… I have great news!!! Total weight loss to date: 7.8 lbs!!!!

It is GREAT news for me and I wanted to share it here…  I am keeping on track with my meals and must up my exercises a bit. We have had a couple of days of rain in a row here but we expect sunny and warmer days as of tomorrow. Thank you for all the positive vibes sent my way and I am sending a LOAD of it right back to all my buddies. Have a Nice Day!!!

Day 25 - Apr. 19th It’s been a tough week with a sore back!!!

No “output” for 5 days finally over!!! Ate right, drank more than my share of water, took meds… nothing was working til last night. I will wait until tomorrow to find out if I lost any weight. My exercises were also down because of the back ache.  Now I am back!!! Just broke my own record on the elliptical - almost 12 mins. I feel this will be a good week. I am looking forward to a small piece of my granddaughter’s birthday cake tonight!!! LOL She is 4 yrs old today. Already called her and we sang a duo on the phone. I feel GOOD!!!! - NA NANA NANA NA NA

Day 20 (April 14th) It’s not a paved road but I am moving forward…

Yes, I am definitely moving forward… slowly but surely. I have lost 4.5 lbs. I discovered something today about myself though - hubby felt like eating noodles with the beautiful healthy chicken breast I cooked. I had about 3/4 of a cup (after cooking) and from what I found on the web about Kraft Dinner, my whole day was completely shot. Healthy eating, lots of exercise and lots of water down the drain.  So, when I saw that, what did I do??? I ate some chocolate!!! Bad, bad me… LOL  But it was fun and I understand what happened. So, tomorrow is a new day.  I move on…

Day 11 (Apr. 5th) Oh yes, I am hanging in there…

I have not been too strong on the exercises because it makes me caugh a lot but I did manage to do a bit today. I am very good on the nutrition side and made myself an excel spreadsheet to write down all I eat (carbs, protein, fats, calories and water), especially to keep the carbs in check. I adjusted these for my daily targets and as I add enter food it adds automatically…  I will share it with anyone interested. I also have a food values excel spreadsheet of the most common foods and I add on when necessary then just cut and paste the values from one tab to the other.  Works great!!! Day 9 - I have bronchitis again…

Ok - The day started with me going to the clinic so there went the whole morning. $293 in meds later I now have to see an allergist. One thing for sure, I can’t live without cats so what I plant to do is keep the cats out of the bedroom. You animal lovers out there will understand when I say that will not be an easy task after sleeping with cats at my side almost all my life… Any way, I took the day off exercises today other than some walking and light cleaning. Tomorrow is another day!

Day 8 - My best day to date…

Yes, today was a good day and programming the computer to remind me of the meals worked. My elliptical exercise was down because I have a bad caugh and I am short of breath - probably a touch of bronchitis. I had a nice walk with my daughter… once around the block… with difficulty but I did it. Yeaaaaa for me!!!

Day 7 - I did it!!! One whole week…

Started the day right with 1/2 cup of All Bran and a cup of tea. Did some surfing on the web then 15 minutes of Turbo Jam (half sitting and half standing) then 4.5 minutes of elliptical!!! I am impressed with myself but worried. It’s been one week and I sure hope you guys out there will remind me often that I badly need to lose some weight!!! Day 6 - Yesssss

Today is looking good! Took my mojo juice twice today to accelerate my metabolism. Worked a sweat taking the aquarium apart and carrying all those full jugs of water to the sink. Had a nice walk with my daughter then took 2 tylenol extra strenght for my knee pain… ;-)) I am still struggling to get used to eating small meals a few times a day. Like today, I had a muffin and a cup of tea late this morning and didn’t think about eating until 4 pm. I must find a way to remind myself. My computer is telling me to exercise at 10h30 am and reminding me to go to bed at 1h00 am. Guess I will have to add other timers to my Outlook with a different sound to remind me of meals… That’s an idea! Something with a catchy phrase. Had a giant salad for supper with some chicken.
